The fact i'm a red dot if i travel in 90% of the map or how people praise the story when it's quite average (i agree fo3 story could of been better )find water chip in necropolis and deal with mutants .
Would you prefer to run in isometric view through miles of empty desert? Because you know that's kind of what a wasteland is. Does Fallout 3 have better open-world exploration? Yes yes it does because Fallout 1/2 are not open world games and don't give a [censored] about creating dozens of tiny little locations to find. This is like saying Fallout 1/2 are not that great because the shooter elements are pretty poor.
Also if you think story is defined solely by the protagonists' objectives you might want to take another look at what story means.

Fallout 1's story is pretty bland with the slightest peak at the end with Richard Grey
Ohh yeah and theres a time limit in an rpg  Thats like having a speed limit in gran turismo .
What's wrong with a time limit? It only shows that the world isn't spinning around the player, that important and imminent happenings are not waiting for you. The GT anology is far off the point here.

In a story sense meh fair enough but it's an rpg i want to be able to experience. the game before it's done
I know but it's a time limit none the less .I think it's a bad combo time limit and rpg .
I don't see how when it makes perfect sense. I could understand the grief for it if it covered the whole game and was ridiculously short. But it isn't. It's just a story component for part of the game, and you can even expand it.
I said to experience it when did that count as aimless timless whatever you said lol .
What you said was "Ohh yeah and theres a time limit in an rpg " as if this somehow was contradictory or made no sense. A time limit would only interfere with what an RPG is if you feel the purpose of an RPG is limitless wandering with the same character.
I put aimless in there because that's the only way you will hit the time limit in Fallout 1 without being able to fully experience the game.
I have to agree there as well Okie, The time limited part of the game in FO1 is so generous, if you even remotely try to find the chip and not waste weeks pointlessly wandering the desert just to grind encounters you'll have tonnes of time left usually. Did you actually play Fallout 1 Liberity prime?

Yes i do and i know it can be extended 100 days by the water merchants in the hub for 2k or if you get the chip in necrolipos .I'll admit i was too harsh on the limit but im not a fan of it .
