Game freezes, resumes with LAG

Hey guys, the entire time I've owned Crysis 2 this has been a problem, but more so lately and it's driving me crazy. Here's the problem:

I'll be playing Crysis 2 pwning nubs per usual business... But then, my game freezes. Now at this point, it either makes all the audio congregate into a loud buzzing sound, later resulting in a BSoD, OR, it will freeze for 3-5 seconds and then resume, except at ~20fps. Restarting the game does nothing, I have to restart my computer to do anything... It would be nice if it was possible to refresh the graphics drivers...

My graphics card and processor are overclocked, but they have no problems with any other games (Not even maxed out-modded Crysis 1).

Here are my specs:
Win7 x64
AMD Phenom II x4 overclocked @ 4ghz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 overclocked
4gb Kingston Hyperx Ram (DDR2 1066)
Corsair 650w PSU

Thanks for any help with this issue! I hope to stabilize this before the DX11 release :)

That happens when your overclock is unstable so your GPU scales back to 2D clocks.

So that means Crysis 2 is pushing your GPU too hard and your OC consequentially becomes less stable.

So turn down ur OC...
