I've been reading allot of posts regarding Fallout 4's location and have noticed that Chicago seems to be a fan favourite. Could anyone please inform me of how a 50's era Chicago will suit a future Fallout title. It seems like an interesting choice but you would really have to travel a fair distance to reach any mountains, which would mean that the majority, if not all of the exploration would take place in urban flatland. Also, I would appreciate if someone could let me know of any in-game notes that relate or discuss any events, factions or occurrences in Chicago, such as the Brotherhood of Steel, Commonwealth etc. Thank you in advance.
This isn't a suggestion or an idea... I simply want to know the answer to my question, and I really wouldn't appreciate a moderator locking this topic.

The outskirts of Chicago were in Fallout: Tactics, and it is one of the main bases of the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel, perhaps the largest and most powerful Brotherhood chapter.

I think I read that the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel believed in fighting for the opposite cause to those based in Washington D.C. If this is true, does that mean they are enemies? Also, could you provide any more information on why allot of people seem to want Chicago as the next location?
Midwest BoS are a bit facist, yes, but they have the good of humanity and the wasteland in mind as they are uniting the people under one banner. And, depending on the ending chosen, they allow mutates to coexist with humanity.
