Of all the bugs I've encountered so far this one might svck the most. I have a level 17 character and my compass just disappeared entirely from the screen. I used my binoculars, and after that, no more compass. I can't get it back by reloading the game for loading a previous save either. It's just gone.

I dunno if it will help but maybe reinstalling the game data would.
