Hi, new here (and already encountering problems, weeee)

So for some reason, construction set decides to stop working on me. Whenever I run the exe, it loads for a bit then freezes and I get a "TES Construction Set has stopped working" message. I'm running the latest version of both CS and Oblivion+Shivering Isles. Help?

Also, on an unrelated note, when CS was working, I could never figure out how to add topics in dialogue. According to http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Simple_Companion_Tutorial, I'm suppose to "Right click on the empty list under Editor ID and select Add Topic," but nothing comes up when I do that.
