NPC killed NPC and the Problem is started

Hello again,

i play this time Oblivion again. I have finished 2 times Oblivion and Shivering Isles but it makes fun to play this game. I be Level 11 and now i have a memory to a Problem in Oblivion, there a some NPC they walk on the Way outside the City when i level up there be more Creatures on the Way big Cats and other strong Enemys. The Importend NPC can not be killed but the other one yes. The Problem is the " Majordomus " from the Leader in Skingrad is need for a Misson but she was killed by an NPC so i can not finish the Mission. I have load old save Game an she was alive when i was level 9... I have hear they make a new Mission System so i hope this Problem is not inside Skyrim... When i played Oblivion first time i was level 5 i have start a Mission in Coroll. The Mission was to kill any Oger ( the Big blue Monster ) near a Farm south from Coroll when i was at the Farm there was no Oger there. As Level 5 Player you can not have Oger as Enemy... all the things i talk about hear is happen on XBox360 not on PC ! ( maybe is importend , it can be a System relevant Bug ). Have you found other Bugs you hope there be not inside Skyrim ?

Sorry my English is not nice but some other People have said they understand what i mean...

Who is this leader in Skingrad you need for the quest? I'm not aware of any quest-related NPCs that are not essential (set so that if they die in combat, the message "_______ is unconscious." pops up.)

Are you using the quest marker and following it where it instructs you to go?

As far as the Legacy Lost quest goes, with the missing Ogres, sometimes the Ogres travel really far distances away from the house, in chase of other monsters or Legionnaires. You might try checking all around Weatherleah.

Yes, the ogres did not appear for you because they were wandering around. The game has some wonderful randomness to it. The game will spawn special ogres for that quest (that are weakened down some in you are low level) regardless of your level. Even if you are too low level to see normal ogres.

If you think of Oblivion more as life than game, it makes perfect sense that there are a few quests that may be removed from your ability to do them by random deaths beyond your control. I find this element of randomness wonderful. You don't get to complete everything you might want to in life; why should you in a serious RPG game?

When that happens to me when I walk around and see a NPC lying dead. I just open up the console and type in resurrect and click on the NPC amd hit the Enter key and watch them come back to life. Than my character praises the gods for this mirracle :celebration:

Yea, I never heard of the first quest you've mentioned...the Skingrad one. The Weatherleah quest is kinda cool in that way...I know the first time I did it with Renee Gade, at first it seemed like there was nobody home. Then when I saw the "big blue monsters" coming towads Renee from a distance I was like holy ****!

I"m actually hoping for more randomness, less essential NPCs in Skingrad myself. MOre WTF moments overall.

Don't feel too bad if something doesn't work out. Even the PC console can not solve every problem. I once went looking for Shameer in Skingrad and couldn't find him anywhere. I used a PC console command to take me to his location. It put me on a hill outside of Skingrad but he wasn't there. Apparently he had been killed and his body removed from the game.

Just to point out through. This won't reset any scripts attached to said character (The game will still consider them dead in the case of quests), so you could encounter problems further along.
