Mod lite for PS3 & XBOX 360

I don't mind a "Lite" Version of the construction set, as long it doesn't prevent users from making better PC Mods.

It would be funny if PC modders purposely sabotaged the mods on consoles.

It will probably happen the first time a comment like 'Y dis mod not 4 da 60' gets posted on the Nexus. Getting feedback on mods, particularly large complex mods, is very useful for modders to iron out bugs and conflicts. But inevitably console mods will mean an influx of eager new users to the community, some of whom may not understand the nuances of modding.

I am actually in the camp favoring the use of mods for consoles, but the Youtube type comments are going to try the patience of mod makers. Having said that, the Nexus does have that private forum for experienced modders which is probably where they will retreat to.

Couldn't the developers talk to a modder, ask him/her if they can use their story idea, then basically remake the mod with everything regulated so their aren't any bad things...?

They could also add voice acting and stuff.

I can't say I am surprised by the responses here.. lots of misinformation, false statements stated as facts..

Simple technical fact is, there is no need to run any sort of construction set on a console.

The game that people play on consoles is created on a PC. The construction set used for the consoles may be slightly different, that I don't know... nevertheless, the game is not created on a console.

So it is not a question of running a process (the construction kit) on a console, but how you transport your mod from the PC to the console.
