So, I thought it would be cool to get a head start on a mod. My favorite mods are the ones that add new armor/weapons to the game, so that's what I'll be doing.

Made this today, it's a shield and stuff:

It's kinda boring. The back is really bare because I wasn't sure how the handles will be.. I'll wait till I can see Skyrim's actual models before doing much there.

So anyway, I thought it would be cool to get some suggestions on what else I should do. So find pictures, screenshots, concept art, etc. of cool looking weapons and stuff and post them here. Obviously I won't do them all, just the ones that seem coolest to me.

Also, I'll only be doing melee weapons, shields, and helmets, since those were the easiest to get working in Oblivion, and I'm assuming not much has changed.

Also, while I will be getting the PC version not long after release I'm getting the 360 version first. So if any PC person wants to partner up and get my assets into the game sooner, that'd be cool. And if anybody wanted to put any of this into Oblivion in the meantime, let me know.

So anyway.. give me ideas.

I think the shield looks awesome! Maybe make some other items with the same wolf theme such as a sword with a wolf's head on the hilt, Helm shaped like a wolf's head, etc. Since there are different clans in Skyrim maybe create some armor sets for each clan with their own unique theme's such as a bear, boar, mammoth, eagle, etc.

I'd also like to see a good variety of war hammers if you're up to creating any of those.

Cool ideas! Might try some of that. I was definitely wanting to do a big-ol warhammer of some sort. So let me know if you see any good pictures/concepts I could use as reference

Great work; I love the wolf design on the shield's face! Personally I'd have allowed myself more tris, though, to make that outer edge a bit smoother. Maybe it's just what you were going for -- and I love the battle-worn look in general -- but it looks slightly too polygonal to me.
