Not even orbital strikes cause extreme lag, they even kill you through roofs and cover! It's driving me mad!
On a side note: L-TAG grenades seem to disappear when their owner is dead. Not cool.
Also, I would really like more classes.

It's an orbital strike, of course it goes through a roof. You're just not seeing the roof get destroyed because it would cause MORE lag.

I dislike Ltags, cant believe they made a noob specific weapon........you know what, its a great weapon, just that it should be banned from CS.

Not quite, Borrs.
It's some kind of gamma ray cannon so it pretty much shoots through everything. At least I think that was the devs logic behind that.
As for the lag:
It's a mystery to me how they could release the game with something as simple as a moving aoe damage zone, which is not even influenced by terrain, lagging the whole server. It's even more of a mystery to me why the bug still is present after 3 months.
I know netcode was never one of Cryteks strengths. But this is ridiculous. I almost fear that it might be some kind of engine limitation and the people who designed the Orbital Strike have to work around the limitation and can not change the engine.
I have no damn clue. Just a shot in the dark.

There are some servers that are kicking people if they make an orbital strike, why...because the damn "orbital lag".
EX: "You would be kicked if you use an orbital strike...dont use it"
It IS a real problem now, and must be fixed.

The Orbital Strike bug doesn't bother me that much. When it does happen I just help myself to a few sneaky kills. :D

If I had to guess I would say it seems to be linked to the amount of destruction it does in the game world. It happens most on Skyline and especially if the strike goes through the penthouse. Maybe it takes time for the server/clients to all get back in sink with how the destruction has changed the game map. The fact that it still isn't fixed suggests it's more complex than it seems. I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of those bugs that never get fixed properly - like the transport minigun in BF2142.
