5 bucks at Gamestop apparently, if your job starts 2 weeks before thje final pre-order day, then yes you will get payed in time, and I am not sure when you can no longer pre-order.

Hope thsi helps.

Can't say for certain, but I usually buy games on Steam these days and "pre-order" with just enough time for me to download it so that it's ready to go at the exact minute it's released. That usually means the day before release, unless my internet connection is playing up and I need a bit more time to download a large file in time!

The price depends on the location. I know at Gamestop you can go all the way from 5 dollars down and the rest later to paying for the entire thing and not having to deal with the hassle of paying (just grab, flash your receipt, and run, then get called back as you haven't done something I forgot to mention).

Online, I think it's pay in full nearly everywhere.

The latest I have ever waited before pre-ordering a game was 4 days before release. If you are interested in a collector's edition than you would be better served getting your pre-order in well before it comes out though as they sell out of those quickly it seems. Usually $5 is all you need to pay when pre-ordering from most retailers. You could probably find that much in your couch cushions if you were really desperate to get your pre-order as soon as possible.

of course if you're spending all your time on game forums, you likely won't get a job
