Ok two questions. I thought there was a quest here related to the achimedes laser but I can't find any quests or info at helios one. Second question...how come when I go out one of the doors that girl ncr just shoots me on site and then the other couple of ncr troops follow suit and open fire on me? This was my first encounter with the ncr so I have nuetral rep with them? I haven't even come across the legion yet so I'm not sure why they open fire on me?

If you killed the Guard dogs that there in the western place where you reset the controls then you get attacked by them all. Its easy to just run in and use the comp and run out, they dont follow you.

I didn't kill any ncr and when I went outside they opened fire on me then I killed them. So I don't need to talk to anyone to get archimedes? Just go to the control room?

It's a restricted area. AFAIK I picked up a quest in the town to the south to help em out.

Also make sure you aren't doing something silly, like wearing a legion uniform. (or NCR uniform you didn't *earn* for that matter)

Just wearing my pre order armor I haven't even come across a single legion member yet. Do I have to pick up the quest in that town or can I just go to the control room? When I talk to everyone at helios one nobody says anything about any quests or the laser...
