Skyrim limited due to consoles?

I don't think Skyrim is being limited by consoles because of the hardware. I think Skyrim is being limited by the tastes of some console players who can't seem to handle Spell Making and separate armor pieces in their made rush to mash the X button against potentially available enemies.

I don't care about the graphics. The lowered graphics just means I'll max it out on my laptop with AA and still have room for some texture mods.

Wait, is spellmaking actually being cut? If so has a reason been given for it?

I like the feature, but my main gripe about it was that all spells pretty much looked and ended up feeling the same no matter what you did with them. If they're cutting it to make each spell truely individual in look, feel and application I won't mind much, but if it's just Oblivion/Morrowind style basic building block spells minus the customisation I won't be too happy.

Pretty much that's why...
