Moving the face of an NPC to one of my characters

Post » Tue Jun 28, 2011 1:19 am

I have a follower mod that I'm adapting for personal use. I would like to change the face to another face from another NPC
and then modify it a bit. I don't want to recreate the NPC otherwise. What would be the easiest way to copy the
face characteristics from one npc to another?

Thanks

I hope you can keep up:
- Download and install http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11536
- Start it
- Select only the follower mod to load, and the mod which contains the NPC you want the face from if its not a vanilla NPC
- Navigate to Non-Player Character, right click on the NPC you want the face from
- Select 'Copy as new record into', select 'new mod', name the mod however you like, its only temporary
- Right click on the temporary mod's name, select 'Add Master', select your follower mod, accept
- Navigate to your follower NPC, right click and select 'Change FormID', copy it with Ctrl-C and cancel (do not change the FormID)
- Go to the NPC in your temporary mod, right click it and select 'Change FormID', paste with Ctrl-V and accept the change. If a window pops up, just press accept and don't check any checkboxes
- In the window for the NPC, scroll down to FaceGen Data at the bottom of the window, and drag that data from your temporary mod to your follower mod. Drag also the data in FNAM
- Close Tes4Edit and check only your follower mod to be saved
