OBMM or BAIN?

Well, I've decided to get back into Oblivion with a fresh install. The last time I played was about a year ago, and I only played for a week or so. That was the first time I used OBMM, and I ended up messing up some mods and just gave up. I'm good with oblivion -- I even made a mod http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6454, but just gave up because of time. SO, the question is should I use BAIN this time instead of OBMM? Which one caters better to people without a whole lot of time? Also shoot me a quick list of what mods you recommend I install. I will use OOO 1.34, but probably not FRAN or any convergence just because I am trying to keep it simple, and actually want to get some play time in the next hour. So in short - the list of mods you would install in order to play oblivion within one hour. Keep in mind I have to download everything except for OOO. Thanks guys, and it feels good to be back!

In my (VERY) limited experience with mods, I've very much preferred OBMM. I find it a lot easier to use, and it reads .BSAs just fine. Can't really complain. I've embarked on the surprisingly difficult project of an FCOM installation, along with dozens of other mods, many of which require me to use Wrye Bash and BAIN. I've had a lot of trouble with this and my copy of Oblivion has been out of order for about 6 months now. (Although that's mostly due to my procrastination.)

Anyways, OBMM is quite a bit easier to learn in my experience, but supposedly BAIN has more features and is more efficient once you know what you're doing. That said, more mods support OBMM installations.

Can't really give you a list of mods, but I'm following http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1119325-50steps-to-stable-fcom/page__p__16452602&#entry16452602 at the moment. Good luck installing it all within an hour, though. :P

I detailed my arguments for BAIN in my first post in my http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1084204-bain-mod-installation-projects/.

If starting from scratch I'd certainly recommend BAIN. OBMM is easier to use (or rather easier to get started with) but on the other hand it takes an hour or so to learn the basics of BAIN so it's not that difficult. I guess it depends on how simple you are going to keep it. If just using OOO and a couple of mods and you just want to get in the game as quickly as possible, use OBMM. If you're ending up with dozens of mods and especially replacers (i.e. better graphics etc.), definitely go for BAIN. You have much better control over your installs with it.
