Now some of us, like me, had certain spots in Morrowind and Oblivion where we could just chill and enjoy the atmosphere of the game, like the weather and sounds. We have seen plenty of screens and vids of Skyrim, so have you roughly picked an area to chill out in Skyrim?

anywhere where there is a huge dragon (and giants) then i can go to a safe spot and watch the carnage unfold to be serious though,what you said about waterfalls sounds jim dandy to me also

I like the look of Markarth Side, i can imagine spending time, high up on a ledge, admiring the views and the amazing waterfalls there.

Waterfalls definitely. And when it rains.... It'll be my little getaway.

So far, probably Riften.

I hope the shores will look more natural this time, maybe even with cliffs.
If so I'll be in a coastal town, but the forest might be nice as well.

Light forest with a mountain brook nearby, there would be a good amount of sounds then and lots of wild life

For me it would be something like the birch tree area where the player character was hunting in the Skyrim trailer.

The highest snowy peak that I can climb, in a sunny day so I could see far, far in the distance.

Unless you can join the college of bards, which is looking unlikely, I will spend most of my down time in the College of Winterhold, hustle and bustle rather than solitude.

Deep in a forest. In real life, I've always felt a bond with the deep woods. Games which simulate forests really well always get me.
