As i took a nap in my coffin to lvl up , Lucien approached from the shadows and startled me. I pulled my bow and shot him....he died and i lost all ties to the DB...cant do any quests for them anymore.... Has anyone else done this?

I though Lucien was an essential (ie, invincible) NPC?

Its so you dont have to do the DB questline, and dont want that unfinished quest sitting there. Say you accidently kill someone in a battle(happens alot if you use 2 handed hammers, trust me), it counts as murder. So lucien finds you, so you kill him. Or, you kill people but you dont want to be in the DB. You kill lucien. It makes sense really.

Happened to me once aswell. He was walking out, invisible. I thought it would be funny to castrate him.

I've killed him, on several character's I think. But on purpose, not by accident.

I crouched, took out my dagger, and took a swipe. It ended up slashing him in the groin area.

Load game? I save two files for every character with every latest save saving over my oldest save.

Yeah, when my good characters accidentally kill someone and I don't see the message and get a chance to reload and don't realize I have done it til I sleep next and get woke up by Lucien and get really pissed off I kill him. Kvatch is a constant peril for the karma of goodly knight....

Recently I had a character that went ahead and went to the sanctuary and even killed the Pirate Captain, but found the next mission to distasteful and started killing DB members. After three epic battles with a crazy wraith she is no longer welcome....

I killed him once, and left his naked body in the Arena Bloodworks. It stayed there for several months of game time. My current character attacked him, but after a brief struggle in the shack he turned invisible and escaped, which is worrying. Hey, at least he can't take revenge on me in the Shivering Isles.
