Elements of Damage

Hello all. Lets see, in Oblivion there was, Frost, which can be classed as water, Fire which can be classed as well, fire. I was surprised to see no Earth elements, though there was a little bit of Darkness which I guess was Soul Trap and then there was poison, such as 'Drain'.

I do not remember correctly but I never saw a spell that the effect said "Drain Health".

Magic Ideas (Elements) Anything can be classed as one.

- Water
- Fire
- Light
- Darkness
- Poison (Lets just say)

Weapons
In Oblivion you got one hit with a poisoned weapons which was merrily unfair in my opinion.

- Still one hit.
- Every hit makes that poison weaker until it drains out.
- Poison lasts forever

Devious Food
In Oblivion there was only one thing that you could only get in the Dark Brotherhood (I think). Once I collected a few poisonous apples I could never force feed it to a guard or any other NPC. (I hope they make it easier for more [censored] and giggles).

- Easier to give a poison food to someone.
- Other poisonous food.
- You can pour poison on any type of food. (You can get caught.)

Please post and tell me what you think of these mini ideas.

I could never get anybody to eat an apple either. =/
I could literally take out all the food in the house. Pickpocket all of theirs. Leave it lying there on the table or in their pocket, and nothing.

You forgot Shock and no other elements, there is established lore to consider.

Do you like poison?

More elements, sure, im a mage, I like more.

Use poison in a spell? I could see a spell that consumes a vial of poison and automatically applies it to the enemy in a pretty green cloud.

Poison food. Sure why not? Lets poison wherever Skyrim's food comes from!!

And more hits from a poisoned weapon. I don't think a single slash would remove it all from the blade. Besides, attacking more would increase blood flow, and cause the poison to spread increasing its magnitude. I think it only makes sense!

I don't think poison should get weaker every hit because the poison itself should be just as potent, but there should be a limited number of hits before all the poison is off the blade.

mixtures using two different spells in each hand must generates a new element.
for example :
frost damage + fire damage=water steam
fire damage + shock damage=plasma beam
frost damage +shock damage= earth damage
this would require certain perks.
