Post » Tue Jun 28, 2011 4:25 pm

Hello, i got a question. Is there a way to activate anaglyph (red and cyan) stereo3d in game? With console commands or something? Would be great to hear some ideas. Thanks. :)

You may have that option in your CCC or nvidia control panel?

Thanks for the fast reply. :) But I mean the Stereo3d funktion from the cryengine. It also supports Anaglyph stereo rendering but I don't know how to activate it. :/

You can't use Red/blue 3D from within the game. But you can enable it from Nvidia Control Panel. Honestly I don't see why you would do that, I tried it and it makes no difference. Red/blue 3D has never worked for me

I tried fiddling with these unlocked CVars, but can't seem to get anaglyph working :(

"Cvars for S3D functions:
r_StereoDevice
r_StereoEyeDist
r_StereoFlipEyes
r_StereoMode
r_StereoOutput
r_StereoScreenDist
r_StereoStrength
r_StereoSupportAMD"

There is an anaglyph mode for debugging, but it took forever to find that command on the net, and I've lost it again: D

r_AnaglyphMode 1

Nope.

In case they didn't change it by now its r_StereoDevice which is expected to be combined with r_StereoOutput

variable: r_StereoDevice
type: int
current: 100
help: Sets stereo device (only possible before app start)
Usage: r_StereoDevice [0/1/2/3/4]
0: No stereo support (default)
1: Frame compatible formats (side-by-side, interlaced, anaglyph)
2: HDMI 1.4 (PS3 only)
3: Stereo driver (PC only, NVidia or AMD)
4: Dualhead (PC only, two projectors or iZ3D screen)
100: Auto-detect device for platform

variable: r_StereoOutput
type: int
current: 0
help: Sets stereo output. Output depends on the stereo monitor
Usage: r_StereoOutput [0=off/1/2/3/4/5/6]
0: Standard
1: IZ3D
2: Checkerboard (not supported on X360)
3: Above and Below (not supported)
4: Side by Side
5: Line by Line (Interlaced)
6: Anaglyph

I guess, you did set variable: r_StereoSupportAMD as well

r_StereoSupportAMD REQUIRE_APP_RESTART
type: int
current: 0
help: Disables/Enables [0/1] stereo support on AMD hardware

Even tho in the patchnotes for 1.9 they say: Re-added possibility to enable r_StereoSupportAMD via config file (unsupported), it doesn't mean that Anaglyph is supported as well by now, tho.
