What are your predictions of reviews of Skyrim?

Post » Wed Jun 29, 2011 6:06 am

Based on what we know so far, what kind of reviews do you expect Skyrim to get shortly after it releases? Are disappointed by the info we know, or are you excited? Is it too early to even have a prediction?

I don't go by reviewers any more.. majority are paid off

I do however go by player reviews there a bit more truthful and would say majority 9-8/10

I'd say a 9, but only because they'll have to find something to complain about. :tops:

Probably around 9/10 I think. If I were the reviewer, the graphics and a few gameplay things would be the cause for it not being a 10/10.

I expect raves from professional reviewers, as always. With real gamers, I expect to it be very mixed. I think the general consensus will be that it is not as good as Morrowind, but better than Oblivion. Though I expect a few to despise it, and a few to be enamored by it.

From a reviewer that knows what he's talking about? Will probably score a solid 8-9 unless something really fantastic is present in the game.

Oblivion Metacritic is reviews 94, user 7.7. Can't see Skyrim failing to top that.

there seem to be 2 trolls in the polls. Me being one, cause the poll was asking for a troll
On topic- personally I reckon it gonna be over 5/10 but until the we have the game i can't reveiw it.

Knowing that RPGs usually get lower scores than action games (higher expectations), I expect 9-10. User score? There will obviously be lots of angry Morrowind fans that will give it a low score (look at Morrowind), but I predict a new generation of Oblivion fanatics that will hate any game after it. Popular games tend to do that.

9/10 for what I've seen so far, but it can go up to 9.5/10 if they show me the Argonian NOW.

I expect it to get a 9 or 10 out of 10 from the likes of GameInformer, IGN, Gametrailers, and such. Fan reviews will of course have some major variance, but I expect them to be very positive overall.

I expect the reviews to be in the high 80s, or an 8/10. People will really like the game, but they will be slightly disappointed that there aren't any big changes in comparison to Oblivion.
I don't know, it's just a hunch. I think the things that will make the game much better than Oblivion will be more obscure, like bringing Centurion Spheres and Dwemer dungeons, and the reviewers won't appreciate these as much as the fans will.
