Blocky textures, anisotropy off? 1.9

i tried forcing anisotropy all the way to 16x in the ati catalyst, to no avail. now on the 1.9 patch i get blocky ps1 textures on leaves and walls, wtf...and its no one has this problem because they're too busy with dx11, well guess what i dont have a dx11 card and this **** happens, plus this gives me some lower framerates, makes no sense, crappy graphics = worst framerates. why is none of this **** getting fixed.......???!!!!

DX9 got updates as well. Try some tweaks like r_ssao = 4

I get the same only running dx11 helps but there must be another fix ?!
