I bought the GOTY edition a while back and it randomly crashed on my Win 7 computer which now is only about 8 months old.

Anyway, I really want to play this game again but I'm not going to be able to stand the crashes and I hear the Morrowind saves can be corrupted easily so quick saving is out.

Please say it works fine with the Steam....I really want to play this game again.

It works exactly the the same on Steam. My game has always crashed every 90 minutes or so from day 1 seven years ago to now with four completely different computers. If you get crashes much more frequent than that, maybe something else is going on but there'll always be crashes; I'm totally OK with an hour + game time between crashes.
