Has anything been said about increased gravity?

Well, one thing I dislike about OB and Fallout was that when running down any relatively steep hill, you would fly out 5 feet horizontally, land, and then do it again, usually doing damage to yourself...

I would like some way to make this happen less, maybe a different, slower walking animation when going down hills (like going down/up stairs in other games), or maybe just by increasing the gravity overall so it's harder to get off the ground (the characters do jump pretty high...)

Have any of you found any video footage or have there been any remarks on this subject?

In the footage of the dragon dropping the giant, the falling animation still seems far too slow. I know it's Nirn and doesn't HAVE to be the same as Earth's gravity, but really it looks kinda silly having them float down like that to me.

BTW, don't turn this into another "unrealistic ragdoll" discussion.

Realistic gravity would be kind of boring in my opinion, especially without an acrobatics skill to increase jump height. I do understand the issue of falling by running forward though.

New animation system seems to fix that issue in and of itself, really. Since you actually descend hills instead of levitating down them now it shouldn't be an issue.

That's due to perspective, big things seem to fall slower. Luke Skyrimmer made a video where the giant was made smaller but fell at the same rate as before but it appeared to fall much faster.

Yeah, I believe it was due to how the engine handled lateral and vertical movement separately and poorly. I think they have alleviated that as the E3 demos start with the character running downhill and I don't see any of the Oblivion floatiness in the movement.
