To everyone claiming high school is so easy, you do realize not everyone has the same mental abilities I hope? It wasn't that hard for me, but still not everyone is the same!

Put you're money away so you can't buy the game and go study. After all of that is over you buy skyrim and it will really feel like a reward.

Truth is the whole of life is a balancing game between what we should be doing and what we want to be doing. I'd rather be at home playing OB and making earrings but instead I'm at work (and have been since 8am - no one else is here yet which is why I can post here). Concentrate on your school now mostly but allow yourself say an hour of Skyrim every other day - and no matter how hard it is stick to it. Mostly you only get one shot at the whole passing exams thing. That's why it matters so much. Skyrim will be there for you when the worst part of school and exams are done.

All OP really needs is self control and discipline. Dont play until you are dont with your homework COMPLETELY. Dont take breaks and say you'll come back to it. If your homework isnt due for a few days dont put it off, FINISH IT ANYWAYS.

Then if you want to get good grades and not just pass study up on what you are doing next in your classes so you know whats going on the next day (making homework that much easier).

Skyrim will be much more fun knowing you are playing on well deserved free time.

In my opinion, our education system is a joke. My advice, (contradictory to others here) drop out of school, get your GED and then get a real job. Don't let fools tell you its not possible, it is a myth that you can't be successful without your HS diploma. Example: I probably wasn't the greatest kid, I attended 2 weeks of high school all together my freshman year, which i failed and had to take again, in which case I again attended probably a week of... I got sent to a National Guard youth challenge program when I was 17, got my GED while I was there. A few months after that I turned 18, and worked as a Correctional Officer. Made more than enough money to support a single 18 year old, I was living comfortably. About 2 years later the prison routine got dull, so I joined the Military... 3 years, it svcked but did me a lot of good. Now I'm in the reserve, working part time as a Correctional Officer again, and going to school with the excellent benefits earned while in the military. It sounds like it takes up a lot of time and would be stressful, its really not. I work 2 days a week, go to school (Well its summer time I go to school every day but during the regular semesters I go 4 days.) and do my little drill every month. I make enough between the 3 to own my own house and car and have enough time to waste away playing video games and sip jac at the club, and I'm only 23. This is just an example, I don't encourage anybody to take this route in life, it is simply possible to ditch that waste of time high school early and get on with the world. YOU HAVE OPTIONS CHILD.

PS. Sorry I don't know why I felt the need to write a book about my life on this thread. It just seemed like a good idea at the time...

Ahhh, TFS Abridged Parody 24 excellent.

Well guys I sort of have an issue with school in the way and it's summer as of now and skyrim releases when school is in. But problem is that if I don't pass all my classes junior and senior year of hs I don't grauduate and passing is d-....what do you guys think I should do because I know this game will be too distracting and make me get bad grades...and yes sadly a d- is hard for me? So what should I do? Weekends only gaming? Or play when I want lol or maybe even go homeschooled if possible. I'm kind of nervous please help guys thanks
