path 1.9 low FPS - DX 11 OFF

Post » Thu Jun 30, 2011 3:28 pm

Hi.
You may like to lower the quality of graphics? Before upgrading, I had a min. 70 fps now drops up to 10! What can I do with it.
PS. I don't want to buy a new computer:/

Same here man. Patch 1.9 really fked up my performance. Game used to stay on 50FPS overall. Now it's 20-35FPS overall. Hope another patch will fix this. No i dont have DX11 nor DX11 capable hardware!

Intel E6600
4GB DDR2
Nvidia 260
Main board Gygabite
LG 19" 1280x1024 px
Windows 7 64 bit.
DX11 off
hires tex - off
all advanced game settings - low (high)
motion blur - off

You could turn down some of the advanced graphics options.

EDIT: sorry you said you already tried that.

Has anyone tried this?: when starting playing a level -not in the game's main menu, has to be inside a lvl- change a value like post-processing one lvl down apply changes then return that value up and apply changes. I found I got almost a 10fps gain (???) I hope that works for you.

Dont let this problem be to big of a worry. This game has some clear optimization issues that desperatly need to be fixed. I assure you Crytek is fixing them. I wager in about 2 to 3 weeks the game will be 100% better than it is not in terms of how it runs and you will gain 15 to 20 more frames.

And for thoses using a AMD 68xx, 69xx or Nvidia 5xx series, remember that the drivers will get better too.

WTF! I'm tired of people with 10000$ hardware saying we* have to lower down our configs. The game is at the fu@king minimum (aka. 'high' without fu@king high-res and dx11) and it's just unplayable. Before the patch 1.9 I was getting 26~ fps, now it's at 15~. Why the hell they changed the high settings!? It looks like Very high in previous patches... a Darker 15 fps game...GREAT?!

As for those with the DSOD ('dark screen of death')

Do want medium settings (like high settings before it got patched')

I have also much lower gameplay.
Before patch 1.9 everything was perfect. FPS approx. 50FPS but absolute no Lag. It was really smooth. I played with all maximum settings.
Now with minimum settings it shows average 40fps but worse: the game is laggy and stuttering. When I switch to nano mode it drops to 25 and I have so much stuttering that I lose my opponent in sight. During close combat it even drops to 17fps and I lose.

I have a Quadcore 6600 2400mhz, a 9800gtx+ 512mb, vista 32 4gb. NO hires NO dx11. Running Steam version

I hope this will be solved soon! It is very frustrating to lose games because of bad performance.

Same problem (multiplayer).
Patch 1.8 = 60 fps always
Patch 1.9 = constant drops to 20-30 fps.
(dx9, shadows off, all minimum, no hires textures)

Why?

And turn this smoke off plz, i cant see anything when shooting!
This smoke eats FPS as hell!

1.8 was perfect, roll it back!

I confirm unsubscribing words above. After patch 1.9 the brightness was too high, fps in firefights falls very much.
Crytek, fix it immediately. Play impossible.

How peculiar, I have an amazing computer, 12 gb of upper range DDR3 RAM, x2 Nvidia 1gb DDR5 GTS450s store super-clocked and then overclocked again by my own doing, with SLI enabled, wrapped together with a 3.36ghz i7 processor. With this grand setup(planning to get better Graphics Cards though), I averaged about say..... 70-80 FPS(I disable V-sync because if you look up what it does, with an LCD screen it's almost pointless, and it unlocks the FPS past 60) with all settings maxed(even Post-Processing, some of you may remember how embarrassing this was in Crysis and Crysis Warhead), in all patches before 1.9.

Myself yesterday:
"Oooh look, DX11 is finally out...with a texture pack, sweet. Oh, it needs patch 1.9? Ok."
*Updates patch and installs DX11 and texture pack and starts game*
"WOW! This looks PHENOMENAL! ....Wait. Why is my FPS at 20?"
*Disables DX11 and texture pack AND lowers all settings to rock bottom*
"Oh, how nice...45FPS."

._. This may need fixing Crytek...just maybe.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention. Sometimes, now with DX11, it flickers with SLI so much that I have to disable SLI, or be crashed to desktop. ._.
