So, now that all is said and done, what do you think now?

I know I did a poll like this before but I think it would be fitting to have one now that all is said and done.

Personally I liked it from the beginning, but these improvements make it even better.

DX11 patch brought amazing additions, far more than i expected Crytek to offer. I am amazed by the improvements! Glass shatters into tiny crystal-like shards, particles are rendered to exact detail to the point where i can see the dust flying off of concrete i shoot at, real time reflections in metal/marblesurfaces/cell and alien suits etc, realistic smoke and fire and high rez textures and tesselation! This is downright awesome! I'm also amazed that i can run most settings on ultra without overheating my gaming laptop or dropping to very low fps.

That said, my gpu can't handle the amount of tesselation. I know alot of other people's can't also. So i had to lower that back to extreme. That's understandable seeing as it's going to be a major performance reducer. However I would like to see some ways to tweak that, for example if one could lower the draw distance for the tesselation effect, it would be easier to manage. Know what I mean? Tweakability :P But one thing I've always liked about the cryengine 3 technology is that it performs better than crysis 1 would under high shadow and shader settings and other stuff. Loss of tesselation i can handle if it gets me those other juicy effects at high fps tho.

Simply awesome now! Just getting into a firefight with some C.E.L.L. guys is visually amazing and realistic!

Also of course what do you think of sandbox 3? I only took a look at it afteri downloaded it once i havent played around with much yet tho. Is the tornado still there? I hope so :D

My vote for "amazing now". I think game amazing now but still need more optimization and more stavle (AF issue, internet check network, dx11 in mp, 1080p @24hz)

what DX only option?? if u play it either in dx9 or 11 with high settings u dont get fps drop. I play in dx11 and i set everything to very high, got the same performance as pre 1.9

I liked the game from the start and I still do. Though Crytek still needs to iron out a few more bugs but I'm happy with DX11 support.

well put Barronator! The game was nice in DX9, but now with DX11 and the textures it is certainly fantastic. The water tesellation makes it look so real, the way the cell react to being hit is a show itself. Its tough to concentrate in the multiplayer because you just want to stop and stare at the graphics. No other game is even close to the graphics Crysis 2 has. You need a powerful system though. I am running 5870 crossfire 1 gig, and i7 920@3.6 and 6 Gigs Patriot Viper 2 sector 7. At 1680x1050 its super smooth, How anyone can say Crysis 2 Graphics are not the best is hard to believe. The aliens have so much movement and detail its incredible. The lighting and shadows are perfect.
