I want to join the Enclave

Post » Fri Jul 01, 2011 5:54 pm

When I first played Fallout 3, I always was looking for a chance to join the Brotherhood of steel. Now, I want to join the Enclave, but i cant do it, and thats sad. All I can do is put on Enclave armor and pretend I'm part of the Enclave. Anybody else feel like me?

The Enclave doesn't want you though, the Enclave does not recruit.

Not true!

All applicants must prove they have pure genes, family members in the Enclave, have a Enclave-approved education, and a near complete disregard for anyone who isn't Enclave.

... in other words, you need to be born into the Enclave. SO THEY DO RECRUIT! THE POINT STILL STANDS!

Judging by posts here since the games release, I think a lot of people would like to join the Enclave.

Why not add a poll to this thread?

You know what I meant old sport  I retract my incorrect statement.

The US Army does not recruit externally.

Letting the player character join the Enclave would unfortunately be a massive breach of canon and everything the faction stands for.

At least you can work with the Remnants in NV, though, right?

Not join, because that would not make sense in lore, but I would like to help them. In the sense that you help Caesar's Legion, but you don't become a legionary.

They probably use you as target practice.

Yes. And sadly, Fallout 3 was probably the one chance that we would have had to join a powerful Enclave and have it make sense, although that was thrown by the wayside in favor of a "Brotherhood or nothing!" approach.

All what would have been required to be changed was the status of the LW from "born on the outside" to "born in the vault" and he could have merrily joined the Enclave and it would have made sense from a lore persepective.

Now however, we may never see the Enclave again, and we will almost certainly never see an unopened vault again.

Thankfully with mods, its possible to join the Enclave in everything but officially.

The official Enclave policy regarding wastlanders is "shoot on sight," as they consider them (not without reason) mutants.

It's called Proposition 312 soldier.

Sir yes sir. :D

Couldn't remember the exact number of it.

That reminds me of something though, I've always wondered if its supposed to actually be "Act 312" as in an act of Congress. Since "proposition" refers to a proposed piece of legislation, but not one thats been passed.

A Lieutenant is not a soldier. A Lieutenant is an officer.

And if you can't join, surely the Enclave would welcome collaborators?

He's under suspicion for being an Eden supporter.

Only as tools to be disposed of, you really think that Eden was being sincere when he said, "Maybe you can replace Autumn as my confident?" Outsiders do not instantly become Colonels, nor would the Enclave whom he had mowed down respect his command. The Enclave has collaborators in the sense that they are tools.

I don't think the Enclave takes vault dwellers either, though. They certainly weren't recruiting the population of Vault 13 in FO2, despite them being prime normals.

President Richardson however, recognizes them as American citizens, and says that they simply are making a sacrifice for the good of humanity.

They also tried to recruit Vault 101 and offered them full union with the Enclave. Once 101 rejected, thats when the Enclave began to treat them as regular wastelanders (ie. Amata).

Best to court martial me now then. As I plead guilty as charged. :shifty:

Last time I checked though, it wasn't a crime to support a President, however unpopular.
