First odd thing I noticed, oblivion recommended medium high settings when I should easily be able to run it on the highest possible. But whatever. I don't really care.

Normally when I play a game, I'd hit a key to skip all the logos etc. I did this for oblivion GOTY when I bought it only hours ago. Crashed immediately. So my next try, I let all the logos fade in/fade out. Reaches the text portion.. fades out slightly then freezes. The dxdiag said there were no problems but I can post it if you'd please. I'd just rather not if nobody needs to look at.

I reset the .ini file and followed the games instructions. I turned off every possible fancy thing possible. Still crashes. Sorry if I missed anything in the FAQ n such.

After a failure to install an update due to some error, i restarted a second time and an update installed. Sorry about the thread mates!
