a new helmet type

Post » Mon Jul 04, 2011 12:11 am

ok so i have this great idea for a naw type of headwear other then helmets or circlets

i propose

[drumroll]

hair ties!
wouldnt it be great to be able to wear hair ties, go from ponytail to long flowing locks for special occasions, in town, just wanna change your look!. what about a magical decrease splitt ends enchanted hair tie or increase speachcraft whateva.

or other things like headbands, enchantable earrings. ofcourse this is defintly not in the game given the already simplfication of apparel already but one can dream.

thoughts?

also where would you purchase these thigns? what kinds of npc's/creatures would carry them. mammoths anyone?

You can wear a headband in Oblivion, and have a ponytail.

Hit the tilde key when you're done to open the console, then hit ESC and save your game. Then reload that saved game.

Im not sure what you meant by your last post?
Ive been wanting the ability to change your hair, facial hair, and headwear ingame. Headwear should not be like, how in fallout, you equipped them and somehow, that peice of cloth gave you extra damage resistance? You should be able to toggle them on and off and be able to wear a helmet over them if you desired, but it should affect only appearance.

Some people around these parts weren't children within the past decade so they may not have seen Spongbob. Just saying.

lol^

ok i'll bite.

hair ties seem a little superfluous to me, but i tell you what.. if my Kajiit gets a decent hairdoo in this one, i will vote yes on the hair tie thing. i play a nearly all black Kajiit. and that hair just doesnt fit. i always end up wearing a hood to hide my terribly unmatched hair...

Headbands and similar is pretty much confirmed with the picture of the Khajiit and the lady with the bone armor.

I was saying I'd be :verymad: if head gear is apart of race creation(you know like bandanas in OB).

If Skyrim has equippable body jewelry of any kind and/or somewhere to change your hairstyle post-gamestart and/or 'hat' items that are just decoration (a la Headbands in Fallout: NV), I will cry in happiness.

Agreed. Headbands should most certainly not be a part of your hair. It should be a hat, at the least, but even that gets annoying since it replaces any form of helmet.

As for changing hairstyles, just add in barber shops. Or, even better, barber-surgeon shops. Then you could also change your face :D. Oh and get healed and all that jazz, but the barber-surgeon's healing ability in Skyrim wouldn't necessarily be "prized", considering there's magic that does the same thing without the pain.
