Morrowind or Oblivion styles?

Which styles of armor would you hopes has a bigger influence on Skyrim's armors?
I remember how I felt when I got the iron armor in Oblivion and compared it to Morrowinds. It was a feeling of 'what have I done to deserve this!?'

Morrowind. There's no comparison.

It'd be sweet to see them in motion

Daggerfall.

Hooray for paper-dolls, though that was just how they were displayed in the inventory... would be funny to see that type of inventory system in a newer 3D RPG.

Anyways... I personally don't prefer one over the other as I liked each system. Morrowind was more complex, while Oblivion was simpler. It depends on the mood I am in for which I'd like. Sometimes I like the simplicity of Oblivion's armor system, sometimes I liked the complexity of Morrowind's, just like each game as a whole. Skyrim will be another addition to the uniqueness of systems, I'm sure.

I was only asking about the aesthetics of the armor.

IMHO every thing in Morrowind was more stylish and memorable, and in Oblivion they were more regular and forgettable.

So I hope, and I know that the Skyrim's environment and its content get a lead from Morrowind's more stylish and memorable version and be more stylish and memorable than Oblivion.

Ah. Somehow I did not catch that. I think I just caught the poll and skimmed your post somehow missing out on the aesthetic portions of it. :)
In that case, I don't know, as they each had sets I liked and didn't like. Though I probably like Oblivion more, probably because I've played it more than Morrowind so I got more used to the ugly ones. Also, Morrowind had a lot of sets I didn't really care for, not exactly hated, just ones that weren't very special to me, while the ones I did like from Oblivion, I liked more than any of the ones I liked from Morrowind. Though the variety from Morrowind was nice, and it seems so far that they'll have that in Skyrim.

I am going to say Oblivion. The reason is that in Oblivion, each armor was incredibly good looking, detailed and well animated. Even the basic Iron Armor felt good to wear, because it still looked like iron armor (that is rugged), so the future armors were even nicer to get, but had as much detail on the as the later ones. I not sure if there were fewer typed of armor in Oblivion, but if there was, I would still go with quality over quantity.

By the way, you may want to edit your post to make it more clear you are talking about aesthetics only (I believe that is what you are talking about). Some people, including myself, will jump at the chance to discuss the armor types and the approach to that aspect of the game.

Granted, the Morrowind armours looked bad in action, they were fine on the paper doll though.

Morrowind, the armor had a much greater feel to it. Oblivion was too much "medieval knight from western Europe".

Certainly Morrowind style. Oblivion though and to look well, but in it there is no soul.

Maybe something completely different? Morrowind had it's weird alien style, while Oblivion had it's classic medieval style, and both armor styles fitted their respective world. Since Skyrim is promised to be something between the alien world of Morrowind and the classic world of Oblivion, perhaps the armor style will reflect the world as well?

I swear, if anyone votes for Fable...

I'm hoping Skyrim will have it's own unique armor, not a copied palette from a previous game.

That's why I hope the world and its content would be Stylish and Memorable, but not wish for alien.

Although I hope to see some sort of alien looking Oblivion realm, with alien content, as well. ;)

But from what I see in the pictures and demos released till now, we will surely have stylish content:

Dragon jaw vest anyone?
