At this time I am spliting off into two stories.
I will be making this one as I finish my first story and post it in bulk.
Enjoy.

The Battle of Two Realms

Chapter 1- The Nightmare of Truth

Romalus hated being an Imperial archer for the Fort Buckmoth. Wearing the House Redoran armor did keep the sand from the sand storms out of his face. It was mid-day, the sands were picking up as another usual storm was about to begin. Romalus still stood on the walls, over looking the small visible bit of landscape. His ebony crossbow, loaded with a steel bolt, was heavy in his restless arms. He was tired; keeping post for two days at a time was a challenge. His eyes were heavy, he could almost sleep standing up. He would drift side to side lightly from the wind. Romalus soon knew he would change positions and was soon going to be able to rest inside the fort.

It was time to switch positions. Romalus' friend, Hrajith-The-Elite, a Nord archer, took his place. They exchanged hello's and Romalus continued on down the stair. His legs could barely move because he kept stationary for so long. The sand beneath him pulled him down like quicksand because his boots were so heavy. Once he entered the barracks, he removed his helmet and let his wild helmet-hair come out. He pulled off his boots and gauntlets and let out the sand that built up in them over the days. Then he took off the chainmail, and then he was into his regular clothes. Romalus had to shave his beard soon.

Before bunking and calling it a night, Romalus read the book, "A Game at Dinner". He fondly dreamed of being an alchemist. Once Romalus fell asleep into his dreams, he invsioned something strange and disturbing. His vision showed a large gate emerging from the ground. Daedra spilled out of the gates and started attacking the town of Ald'ruhn. He could hear the echoing screams of the people and the laughing of daedra as they enjoyed the bloody massacre. Romalus twisted and turned in his sleep and not too long after, he awoke.

Once awoken, Romalus put on his comfortable brown robes and went to the mess hall.

He sat with a few other of the guards and enjoyed the conversation and stories they told.

His Dunmer friend started the day with, "So, who wants to make a bet now?"

The men at the table moaned and sighed replying, "What the hell is it now Sivan?"

Sivan, sounding dissapointed, retorted, "Whats wrong with a bet guys? I didn't rig this one."

Jaiden, a Breton said with sarcasm, "Ohhh yea, like the last five bets ah? No one listens to you flabber you damn gums with bets anymore."

All of the men started laughing.

Sivan tried to say a few words and a rowdy Orc said, "Anyone hear the gust of wind?" and a few soldiers would snicker.

After Romalus ate, he asked Commander Bistarr if he could go into town. After granted permission, Romalus set out. He put on his Redoran guard armor knowing then he could get discounts in stores and not worry to much about the law. After walking out the main gates he looked at the path that lay infront of him. Gusts of wind blew the sand off for once in a long time showing the stone pathway to Ald'ruhn. Beyond the horizon he was amazed to being able to see the town. Romalus embarked on a small trek to the town.

About half-way to Ald'ruhn, Romalus could actually see the landscape. It was rugged, rocky, barely any life forms. The sun shown through the clouds and beamed out the whole area. Enjoying the clear walk, he took off his helmet and was soon at the gates of Ald'ruhn. The guards greeted him and opened the gates for him. As Romalus entered the town, he put his helmet back on and set off to his favorite blacksmith.

I hope you enjoy reading it.
Tell me your thought on how it is, and how I could improve my writing skills.

Before I attempt to help you (because Dark already did a magnificent job with his insightful advice) allow me to point this out to you.

1.) Please do not maintain more than one active RP thread, and one active story thread, at a time.

I'm not a stickler for rules but I feel obliged to inform you that one of your stories will be closed if a mod sees you have more than one open story.

I'm just making sure you realize that before I continue.
