460 SLI Even Smoother Gameplay than a 580 ;) on max

Post » Mon Jul 04, 2011 4:03 pm

@ Cool

1) Are you comparing 460 SLI to 580 SLI or just 460 SLI to one 580 ?
2) Also what is your average FPS on all Ultra settings with Motion Blur on "High" also ?
3) and are your 460s in SLI OCed ?

I have 2 MSI GTX580 in SLI - running at stock clocks

..............holy crap dude..................................................................youve had 580;s this whole time?...................................dude, well i was comparing v one 580, average framerate is around 45fps, on blast max settings on ultra, and dx11, and kinda, my 460;s are not OC by my hands, they are superclocked by factory though, guess that means i have more head room. they rest at 795 at around 55c under load. but these days, im not surprised if they hit 70c with this damn heat........

Could you try the official crysis 2 benchmark with your system? If you didn't try it before, look at the readme in the support folder.

I spent $530 on my eVGA GTX 580 and on average I get 60-80 fps. Add that to my Core i7 2600k I can't think of a better way to play this game. And honestly, I would rather just stick to one card than have to deal with two cards and the problems that have plagued this game couped with SLI/Crossfire or any other game. While I respect your opinion, I think you're just trying to shove ego in our faces as if it matters. May I suggest taking your "argument" somewhere else, Off Topic perhaps?

Lol, i also respect your opinion,....................... im not trying to shove **** in peoples faces, i only said what im running on because the developers themselves said this game was impossible to run on this setup, but of course............ you read the first post didnt you? you know my full specs, oh you didnt read............so please get your troll a$$ out of hear becuase this thread was never intended in a way of me showing off my setup, it was a form of saying even my crappy a$$ cards can run this game on blast with good framerate, as you can see, multiple friends here have setups that make mines look like a laptops.

and second, im not lying about beating out a 580, yes tell me you get 80fps, the discussion here was im on max res and settings including Dx11, with only 768mb of vram.

Now ready for the kick? I only have the 768mb model of the 460....... they are in SLI, but im running both Dx11 and high Textures, 1.5mb needed my foot. :)

Hey coolguycooldude, what drivers are you running? I've also got twin 460x768's and I'm trying to isolate a driver issue. Your vids, and knowing your setup, is a good reference. (PS: TY for your enthusiasm. It helps the game imo)

2560x1600 I use a 3D TV for my gaming and my regular internet ventures on a 1400x900 display. The card is completely stock, and the temperatures surprisingly stay quite low.

It wasn't a comeback, it was a fact. If I were to use a comeback that would be feeding the obvious troll. Also if I were to use a comeback I'd just wipe your chin but either way works. Carry on.
