Intro

Would you prefer a Morrowind style inconspicuos boat ride to start the game, with no fighting to speak of, or the oblivion stly starting already involved in the epic conflict?

I for one would prefer the Morrowind style, I liked the ability to postpone even being involved in the main quest lines, end of the world-ness and just enjoy the world for a bit.

I think the type of beginning should depend on the storyline.

I don't really care. However, if there is a tutorial dungeon the player should be given the option to skip it.

I think since the Main character is apparently going to be a figure of prophesy (Dragonborn) like the Nerevarine, it makes more sense for us to work our way into the conflict rather than be thrown into it. No boat rides though, they should think of something new.

but I would like to hear "Wake up! You were dreaming. What's your name?"

I liked Morrowind's better, but, yeah, I think it should just fit the storyline.

Depends, if Dragons are supposed to be smashing up civilization and the entire land of Skyrim is facing turbulent times when you come out of the Intro, I'd expect the intro to reflect that.

"They're already here.." with the people running away and dying from fire implies such.

It would be easy to make dragons start going crush mode on Skyrim something triggered by an early quest, maybe you are told upon your release (c'mon we all know you're starting off in jail) that Thane such and such has asked to see you, as you walk into his hall he rises up and opens his arms to greet you, he walks over to you and puts an arm around your shoulder walking with you to a table to explain whatever he feels is important and mid sentence you hear a crash and Crush mode begins.

Morrowind, I don't want to be shoved in the main quest line.

Maybe a mixture, such as u start out and someone wants to talk to u about something important, but u can just run past them and play the game and come back to them to start the storyline.

It would be nice to not have forgotten everything you knew before and wake up as a prisoner for a change.
Perhaps you can start at an orphanage, where you are kicked out let go because you have come of age, and you decide you want to find out who where your parents or something.

I think it should stick with the Morrowind style entry. Your just there, and then tossed flat on your ass into the world.

I want it to be Skyrim's style, not Oblivion's style or Morrowind's style.

Well, considering the theme set forth thus far, I feel a more Oblivion style intro would be more appropriate and fitting, not to say I did not enjoy Morrowind's. Personally, after hearing that "the sons of Skyrim would spill their own blood" line in the teaser, I would like you to start as a prisoner (not in prison), in good Elder Scrolls tradition being detained in Solitude or Winterhold in the midst of an attack by the other county. Amongst the commotion, you have the opportunity to escape from prison and flee to the invading faction, allying with them, or you can defend the city and fight for your freedom, or perhaps a neutral third option which has none of the benefits of siding with a faction but none of the drawbacks either (e.g. you will be able to freely move about all of Skyrim without meeting political hostility, however you cannot reap many of the great rewards either main faction has to offer). Perhaps, even, the story could center around the invading Ka Po' Tun of Akavir, now with the power to become dragons like their leader Tosh Raka, in Skyrim. The hero, or "Dragonborn", must now fight to unite the dissolute Skyrim against the impending onslaught by the Akaviri "dragons".

The intro should be whatever is appropriate. That said if the purpose any sort of starting dungeon is merely tutorial in nature then I would want the option to skip it. If, however, it serves to advance the plot like the bits of Oblivion's where you were with the Blades/Emperor then that is fine too.
