Why do some of my stats appear red (Negative effect) when I have no negative buffs, spells, cursed armor etc.affecting me? Does say, wearing heavy armor impose a negative effect on various stats? The Active Effects shows nothing negative, only positive buffs.

Manual just says Red stats means they've been lowered/negatively buffed.

most likely you were struck by a damage attribute spell.
have you been fighting bonewalkers lately? they have this nasty spell.

to restore your attributes, buy a potion, go to an altar (imperial cult) or
cast the spell yourself if you have sufficient restoration spell

Crap lol. I meant to post this in the Oblivion general discussion section. got confused.

Edit: Your advice seems to fit my situation however so all is not lost
