The size of it has little to do with it, actually. Fewer entities to load and fewer to keep track of.

So a technical explanation by a game developer regarding how well their game runs given a specific feature is merely conjecture on their part? Sure, i can see that, it's not like they test it or anything. :rolleyes:

Try again. The "conjecture" was MY conjecture "that the justification for the combination (of armor pieces) also makes it unlikely that clothing will be split - that the only things available will be the "outfits" in Oblivion, in order to "get much better visual results" and "render a lot faster."

I think having armor and clothes wearable at the same time was kind of an exploit back in Morrowind. Does no one remember the days of overenchanting everything you have?

I've seen too many games completely ruined by streamlining to be understandable.

You know.... the funny thing is I'd bet that we'd get along fine in the real world. We're not really so different - we're both opinionated and self-assured. We just manifest it differently - I do it by being arrogant and condescending and you do it by hurling obscenity-laden hyperbole.

Or maybe we'd try to kill each other.... who knows?
