I started playing Fallout 3 last year and got to level 12 and was at a part where I found his dad and they were headed for Jefferson momorial to work on Project Purity. I'm in a basemant after killing the mutants and turning the pipes (or what ever that was) dad had asked. At that point the Enclave soldiers showed up. Now the problem is when i try to leave the basemant/openning the door the game freezes on me every time. I even rented the game thinking the disk was bad, but no same thing. I tried deleting the game utility also, still no go. I can load the saved game every time and can run around the basemant, too bad I cant fast travel from that location. I don't have any other recent saves so I'd be pretty much starting over (which I'm not gonna do). I even tried killing the character (blow myself up) - once it took me back to main menu, other time it just automatically loaded the last saved game.

It kinda bugs me that i didn't finish the game. Is there anything i can do? any fast travel cheat? OR any ways to get out of the basemant other than the door to gift shop??
