Message to all DEVS!

This isn't really a suggestion for Fo4 so it deserves it's own thread...its a tip for ALL the devs.

Watch the Book of eli then all mad maxes in order, waterworld, LoTRs, BlackHawk down (just because it's sweet), Jerimiah Johnson, play the Fallout games over again followed by Age Of conan Hyborian whatever, watch Book Of eli again.

Obvi there is certain elements to take from the previous titles not everything. Like I don't expect to see hobits on a makeshift raft.

Then get together and make w/e video game you think of...the product??? Fallout 4!!

I don't mean the religious part of Book o Eli

I meant everything else like... Sounds, visuals, scenery, characters, fashion/apperal, weapons, weapon sounds, setting (place and time...I think closer to nuke war would be sweet), no robots (I don't mind em but the amount of securitrons was pushin it for me), no monsters (again don't really mind most of em but the sizes mght not be as realistic if its set soon after the war. Plus the super mutants and [censored] was just goofy) motorcycles/rogue crews! I guess I like realism and it's fine if you guys don't. a happy medium can be found. I like realism but I'd rather ditch the bizarities than have a hydration meter type deal, dig?

No Book of Eli, have them replay F1, F2, and Tactics also.

No Book of Elliot.
I don't want any religious crap in Fallout and the matrix moves don't fit in either.

Fallout is fine the way it is. It seems pretty end of the worldly to me, but you must understand that Fallout doesn't revolve around the end of the world, it revolves around the aftermath of it. The FO games aren't to uncover what happened during the war, they're meant to complete the tasks you're given in the present.

Instead of suggesting things to make it more end of the worldly, you should suggest things to help with a future story lines. We don't want a repeat of the 'love sick Daddy' incident do we?

Well, you know at least with Obsidian they had required reading and viewing? Like I think the writers at least had to read The Road. But I think that Bethesda, especially the writers, should enforce their Fallout devs to play all of the originals to completion. Hell, throw in New Vegas too. They wouldn't need to play Fallout 3 unless they were new to the dev team. But they should have complete perspective on the series they are building.

Make a well educated team that knows the story and feel of the game

...You lost me at Waterworld. I mean, people liked that movie? Actual people who exist in this plane of reality? It hurt Costner's career pretty bad IIRC. Now The Postman? Much better fit. Put some elements from that movie into the next game and you've got my attention. Everything else is fine though. They've already borrowed heavily from Mad Max so that's pretty much a given.

I'd love if they added some more special combat moves for melee weapons, perhaps even "finish" moves. Then you could really pull some Eli stuff when surrounded by a group of raiders. And man, if they managed to scrounge even a small amount of the emotional content in "The Road", the game would be amazing.

It was just some half-assed action film that "tried" to be memorable with it's setting.
Just a lot of BAM BAM BOOM POW RIGHT IN THE KISSER!! while riding on the post-apoc setting.
And the twist at the end... Ugh... It couldn't have been some other religion? It just "had to be" about [Censored because religious discussions are not allowed on these forums]

Apart from the machete scene at the start and the scene where he flirts with a rat in the house it didn't excel in anything.

blind

That's because they played it out like he wasn't because the movie makers forgot. Then they decided to through it in at the end.

All they need to do to make F4 is replay the originals and combine what they did well with what they already did a magnificent job on with 3 and boom, best game ever.
