I have played this game for about 8 hours in the last 24. My machine is a couple of years old, and I play on HIGH settings because I can maintain a vsynced rate of 60 FPS -- most of the time except for some scenes that aren't optimized or just too much for my card to handle -- which is required for butter smooth gameplay on my montior. I am impressed with the HIGH settings and find it very acceptable and it looks fantastic in this mode! The graphics are indeed sweet on the highest settings, but the FPS at 25-40 is not enjoyable to play. The game's graphic engine gives me something to look forward to in a couple years when I buy THE dream machine.

The game engine is fantasic, silky smooth, and beautiful. I want to give props to the creator and all those who made this happen. I can't wait to start tinkering with the CryEngine 3 editor because that is what sold me on the purchase of the game. Well worth the asking price.. CryTek, you all really know how to make a game. It's good to still see REAL game developers out there earning respect. I appreciate the effort you've put into this game that's easily seen.

Also, I want to add that I own and have played Crysis 1, and to be honest, I didn't really care for the story and game play that much, it was just boring. Crysis 2 is an improvement by a 100 times over the original story and game play in my opinion.

Nice opinion. Crysis 1 is just good for taking screenshots and keeping as your background, but Crysis 2 is a REAL game!
