Yeah, l33t language isn't allowed.

And from the E3 demos, it appeared that there wasn't any durability stat shown on the gear presented. However, that doesn't mean it's out, but it does bring up some speculation.

It'll be interesting to find out more on this.

@ TC: I still have no idea what that means, in all honesty.

So are you asking if weapons will break permanently?

im asking if they will break Physically!
like your swinging your clymore BOOM its now a very heavy long sword BOOM again its now a very awkwardly held dagger

and then youd have to find all the peices to repair it

Idk if you've ever actually felt the weight of a sword in your hand, but if it broke, it would be wildly unbalanced and nearly impossible to wield with any efficiency.
when it breaks, using it more is the worst idea anyone could ever think of...it would be like busting a wooden baseball bat and still trying to use the splintered thing

also, finding the pieces again would just be annoying...if the clipping is anything like it was in OB, pices would easily hide under plants, bodies, or get thrown past areas you can reach

Broken equipment showing visible wear and tear, and becoming unusable until repaired would be a nice feature for Skyrim; having to search for a piece of your broken equipment wouldn't be though.

having a weapon broken in various pieces would be really anoying, but would add a new and interesting feature to modding.

would be tedious but alot more realistic to find bits of broken equipment (like large chunks not little forggetable splinters and dust particles)

also i didnt mean physically break as in once broken to a point that it starts losing parts that wont be repairable i ment like youd see the damadge and even hold and wave it about and then to repair it youd need 1 a hammer and 2 all the large chunks that fell off but i guess your worrdied" what if part of it clips and icant pick it back up ?

i heard that skyrim is going be taking after runescape and adding smelting so make it so that one can smelt new chunks if that happens or salvage part of opponents equipment if you manage to break it

Searching for pieces of your broken equipment doesn't make any practical sense anyway. Unless the sword has split into two pieces large enough to forge weld together, it would be impossible to repair. You'd basically just bring the hilt back to the smith and tell him to fit it to a new blank.
