Bum Bags

Post » Thu Jul 07, 2011 8:48 pm

I've noticed in the trailer that the character is sometimes wearing a little Bum Bag on his belt. Is this supposed to be where the inventory is kept, if so I think it's a good idea. I know it's still not very realistic, as over 200LBs of kit wouldn't fit in it but at least it's a start.

It that what those are called? "Bum Bags"? I always though of them as "MAN PURSE" >.>

I agree though, I like the inclusion of bags, pouches, and whatnot visible where you character could concievably carry some of his inventory.

Bum bags is what we Brits call man-purses. I'd rather have no man-purse than a small, unrealistic one.

Eh, I'd rather have a couple purses and pouches of varying sizes that one large one.

Then again, my opinion may be biased in that I carry just one large one around in real life.

A man purse is a satchel or other small bag here in Australia. A bum bag is just a bum bag.

I'd ssay it is just an aesthetic of the robe, but I wouldn't be against it. You should be ale to buy satchels to raise nventory space as well.

In the U.S they call them fanny packs or belly bags.
I've always assumed my character stored everything in some kind of magical bag of holding.

Iv'e always wanted additions of satchels and thing for armour. Nice to see quite a few of the armours have them. Oblivion you just looked like a guy wearing armour with a sword, not an adventurer.

That is EXACTLY how I felt!

One thing I always love to see in games is armour where it looks like your character has modified it a bit; added pieces and took some away. Dirt, blood, and mud all stain your equipment. All the little signs that say "This was worn through a hundred battles and a thousand miles travelled" rather than "I just got this at Armor R' Us for 15 septims!"

If they realy wanted to make it realistic, there'd be Pack Mules in the game for carrying the bulk of your gear (up to 300LBs), with your character only being able to carry say 30-40LBs of gear.

On that note, I really want saddle bags for horses.
