i have a character ready to begin dead money and was going to start this evening. i download the patch (thank you for continued support), fire up my game, make my way over to the ABOS and it now says it requires a key. it NEVER required a key, even before dead money was released (nor after).

i read the patch notes, there is no mention of this. do i have to now do the BOS quests to get the bunker key to unlock the ABOS (even though the key is for the safehouse)? what is going on? there is no change in the quest text (track down the source of the SM broadcast) and nowhere does it tell me i need a key.

i loaded a character that has already completed dead money, and the bunker is normal; no key required.

i've started DM at level 1 before, why do i need a key now?

obsidian, this needs to be fixed ASAP. y'all inadvertently broke something.

ps3 user, no console commands.

It has requried a key since the 2nd patch and was only unlocked after dead Money was released. Make sure your Dead Money DLC is loaded correctly.

i would assume the dlc is installed correctly becuase i have the quest marker and radio signal along with the message saying level cap increased etc., and at the main menu under dlc it says DM and HH.

i deleted game data, was able to enter bunker, reinstalled patch, and now i need a key to leave the bunker. i tried to enter the SM anyway and it froze the game.

i started a new game (with patch installed) ran straight to the ABOS and no key is required, it functions normally. the problem game was started before the patch was installed.

it seems to be an isolated incident.

I remember people were having problems after the last patch as well. The fix was to delete all game data, then load up the game without DLC installed, to get the latest patch installed. Once the patch was installed, then install the DLC.

You seems to have already done, this, but where I think you went wrong was patching and installing the DLC while you were inside the bunker. I bet if you did that while you were outside the bunker, it would work.

Delete game data > patch first > install DLC
