ok so I am trying to escape the swamp to get back to town to give this dude in the Mages guld these mushroms that i have had to collect for him unfortunatly I ca't leave the swam whenever I try and leave bu the path this huge seleatel dog thing get's me i can't seem to kill ecape or evade it is there another way througth the swamp to get back to the reltive safty of Bamoral (i seemed much stronger in Oblivion)

Can't really help without actually being there, but you might try going south (along the coast?) until you get to the river and follow it back to Balmora. Or continue along the coast to Seyda Neen (the mushrooms are easy to come by there).

When you do get back I would strongly suggest investing in some teleportation spells and/or scrolls. Spells such as mark and recall (available at the Balmora temple) or spells/scrolls of Almsivi and Divine Intervention.

You might also check to be sure you're fighting with a weapon you are "skillful" with.

i have managed to ascape the swamp hear is how i did it orignal I had decided to sim to the mouth of the river and do it that way but i did not know that things live in the water in Morrowind any way somthing (idon't know aht) attacked me so i ran for he safty of land and of a littel village that i knew of whwn i reached thsi village Ifoud a dark elf with aboat i took this boat to Vivrc then took a slit strider to Balmoral i wa so glad to be back

It's experiences like this that make Morrowind so great.
