Is there a mod that allows you to put Items in a chest on one save, and then access those items from another save game? It would make the game kind of interesting for me.

Well, the was this realistic blood mod for Risk, but it would soak through the cardboard.

Slightly more on-topic: The COBL mod for Oblivion has a chest similar to what you describe, but it cannot export it's contents to a different save.
