What would Joshua Graham do?

Post » Sat Jul 09, 2011 3:47 am

My current character is a Mormon convert that always carries scripture with him. Guns and light armor character. But I am unsure which faction to side with. He is with Joshua Graham. Would it make sense if my character went for an independent Vegas run by soulless machines? House and his capitalism and cruel treatment of Freeside? Legion and their Paganism? NCR and their "lack of giving" as Graham puts it.

Definitely independent. Though Yes Man doesn't have a soul, I'd say your Mormon would be pretty content with that over the flaws of the other factions.

Eh, depends really, I'd say House or Independent. House because he actually has a plan for humanity, and Independent because freedom is always good... in some cases. :spotted owl:

From face value, House is peaceful. The only group he wants the player to actually lay a finger on is the BoS. I somehow doubt the Mormons would have a special love for the BoS, so one could see reason to support him. Based on his history or potential endings though, you could also go for Yes man.

So House or Independent ? Would Graham be wiling to help the NCR? What do you think Graham would do in my shoes?

Actually now that I think of it, House is out of the question. Cause he keeps down Freeside and Old Mormon Fort. My character would probably be like, you rennovated all these shiny casinos but you left the Old Mormon Fort to rot in Freeside and keeping the people there under poverty.

I'd go with statements given by the Dead Horses. If you use Sneering Imperialist on the one who greets you in the cave, she basically says she'd like to kick your ass, but won't because Graham said not to fight with someone unless they start the fight first. In that sense, I suppose he could fight alongside the NCR too, since he also mentions "they can be saved." Simply refuse to kill the Khans, do the peaceful ending with the Kings and with the BoS, I honestly don't know if Graham would bother since the group is so hateful and aggressive towards outsiders.

Kinda tough to say since none of them are believers.

Just for lore's sake, Graham actually encourages people not to look up to him as a rolemodel, but to learn from his mistakes according to dialogue. But I'd say Graham would be content with anything but the legion, but I'd think he'd go independent.

Probably makes sense. Since this is all God's land, not NCR or House.

OK, I think I will do independent. Enemies with NCR / Khans / Legion / BoS and any other groups that are morally corrosive. The Powder Gangers already hate me. Fight the Power perk is gonna come in really handy.

Friends with all settlements and the Followers / Freeside.

Indipendent, who says it has to be ruled by machines? I generally like to think that after my Courier takes over Vegas, the Protectotrons act only as a police force. Our defenders are composed of both humans and robots, as I do not wish to conquer.

OK I'm going independent but I destroyed the Securitrons at the bunker. I don't trust Yes Man with an army of Robots. The Mojave will be ruled and protected by people and God, not machines.

Just didn't feel right to not destroy the bunker with my Mormon character.
