Will Halberds,Kantas, and Pauldrons be in Skyrim?

Post » Sat Jul 09, 2011 7:08 am

I remember killing a merchant in MO, tanking his magic kanta, and pretending to be a crazy man... in Marlon I think... Anyway, I remember when we had to purchase the whole set... We got Plaudrons.Greavs.Cuirass'.Gloves. and Boots... I didnt like how in Oblivion you didnt get the feel of the unrealisticness as far as Armor purchase was concerned... I hope they bring Pauldrons back in Skyrim!

Pauldrons are not in, no. Opinions on this vary wildly but apparently if you disagree with anyone you're an idiot.

As for katanas and halberds? Halberds aren't certain but they've specified that spears "in the traditional sense" are not in the game, so there's a faint glimmer of hope for that. As for katanas? Well, we've already seen scimitars, so there's no reason to assume for sure that they're out.

i remember multiple times seeing that some form of polearms are in. screenshots of the same type of armor one with a pauldron, one without, mainly suggest a somewhat in depth crafting system, but i don't believe pauldrons will be a whole different slot of armor.

Katanas have to be in.

Why?

Goldbrand.

Skyrim will have at least one katana.

I like katanas in mah RPGs. Mostly cuz I own a really nice custom-forged one with a traditionally laminated steel blade though.
