How will everything fit on a single disc?

I very much doubt the game would fit a blu-ray disc if it was 100% uncompressed. I think you would be surprised to see how much space uncompressed graphics/audio use.

I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure Square Enix said that they didn't have to compress anything in the PS3 version of FFXIII, but they did for the 360 version. If they were able to not have to compress any of the cutscenes, or audio in that game with the Blu Ray disc then maybe BGS won't have to with Skyrim?

Xbox ruined oblivion

Bethesda ruined Oblivion on their own. Xbox was still brand new and not holding anything back with its old hardware, as it wasn't bad at the time.

Xbox ruined Dragon Age II.

Xbox ruined Crysis 2.

Xbox ruined RDR and L.A. Noire.

Xbox ruined Fallout 3, but it was decent anyway.

Xbox ruined Fallout: New Vegas, but it was an exceptional RPG in spite of this because of Obsidian's writing and worldcrafting.

Xbox ruined Skyrim too, but Skyrim will survive well enough to be a good game in spite of this. For all the simplification and dated visuals I think Beth's learned enough from their failure with Oblivion and partial success with Fallout 3 to make a good RPG again.

Remember: Morrowind had terrible gameplay for the most part. It was the freedom and richness of the world, atmosphere, and the writing that made it exceptional. I think Beth understands this again. So yes, Skyrim will be a vastly lower quality game than if the Xbox and PS3 didn't exist, but it should still be good.

I am surprised not body said this. (unless I missed it by scrolling too fast.)

The last Xbox 360 update, had a feature for the 360s to read the new discs that have an extra 1 gigabite (or is it gigabyte?) of information, so all gaming compaines can put more on a disc now. Not sure if the discs are dual layerd or not, (I don't think so) so now you can have what 2.8 or more gigs on a disc now for the 360.
