Original Fallouts on a laptop?

Post » Sat Jul 09, 2011 10:14 am

I couldn't find another place to put this, sorry if it's in the wrong area :cryvaultboy: I haven't begun to play FO1,2, or tactics, I've bought the three pack, but (probably should have checked it before buying) I don't know how much space they really take up and if a single game would even fit on my Compaq Presario CQ56...has anybody else had any troubles playing on a laptop or notebook?

The three of them combined take approximately 2.5 GB of hard drive space -- if that's what you meant. (Approximately -- I merely checked their downloadsizes from GOG). If your laptop is anywhere near modern, they should fit and run fine (although, I don't know how compatible they are with Vista or Win 7).

I have never had trouble with playing it on my laptop.

I bought the games from Good Old Games and they work fine.

Mine work fine with Vista as well. The sizes for FO1 and 2 are about 550 mb if they are on disc but obviously a bit larger for the downloads like gog.com(tactics was 1.5 gb)

I play all three of them on my Windows 7 laptop and the only problem I have is with Fallout 2, the image on the screen is always messed up where you can't even see it, there is a patch you can download to fix it though. I'm on my phone right now but if nobody else gets it first I'll look for a link for it when I get home.

Thank you! I needed to know how much space was taken up, and I'm glad to know that any modern computer should be able to handle it. YIPPPIE KAI YEAAA YEEEHAW

I hear they work fine for Vista, but they run terribly on Windows 7. You either need to download a patch to fix horrible color issues, or change your desktop to a single color and open up your screen resolution menu.

If he gets them on steam, he can do something much simpler to fix them on Win 7, and i'd be happy to run him through it step by step.
