Game crashes at New Game

Specs:
PCU: TX650W
CPU: Core2Quad Q8200 2.33 GH
GPU: Nvidia GTX 460x(1GB)
Ram: 4 GB
OS: Vista 64

First installed the game, ran fine. Was able to make a new character with a few mods that installed(without OMOD, manually)and played for the first 5 minutes or so before I stopped to install more mods. Used OMOD to grab a few more Mods (OOO, Oblivion XP, UI updates etc) and updated the drivers for my GPU. Game started crashing whenever I tried to start a new game. Uninstalled Oblivion and Shivering Isles, deleted the folder and it's contents left behind, and then reinstalled the game. Reinstalled all mods using OMOD and i used to BOSS to make sure the load order was correct. Game still crashes at new game. Going to try uninstalling again and cleaning the registry, gonna try defragging my drive and then reinstalling and defragging again. Thought I would get this up there to see if maybe I overlooked something, or if maybe it's my drivers that are causing the game to crash.

Your mod install is probably bad. This could be a conflict among your mods. So a correct load order wouldn't fix it. Also, if you are installing DarN and didn't reapply your font tweaks after deleting the Oblivion.ini (in the My Games folder) your game should hang or crash. If you never applied those tweaks in the first place, well... You should post in the Mods forum anyway, with your load order.
