Adding new item to CS

Post » Mon Jul 11, 2011 8:08 am

I created a new mesh of a candle and I can't make it show up in the CS. I get this warning message:

"Model Load Error: is not a NIF file in Meshes\x\mycandle.nif.

Will use the default object Marker_Error.NIF.

Continue running executable? Cancel is "Yes To All".

What program did you use to make/export the model file?

I used 3d max and export it as an .obj to Nifskope and saved it there as a .nif file.

I'm not sure, but I think that by default NifSkope exports to Oblivion nif format (20.0.0.5). Try going to Render > Settings > Genreal and set Startup Version to 4.0.0.2, then save as nif again.
