right,am re starting morrowind again (for the 5th time/just keep changing my character).this time i am a breton battlemage named falgiar bouriael (snappy eh!) born under the sign of the mage.so at the start of the game.as i explored the cavern (addamasartus) with the slaves,as i came to free them,there was a guy dressed in red robes/red hood (with eye glasses i think) who was in the cell with the slaves.he proceeded to beat the life out of me (i did get some hits in before dying though).who is he,and why was he in the cell with the slaves (the previous time there have only been 3 bandits/couple of rats).haven't seen a character like him before (although admittedly i haven't got very far in the game yet

Vanilla doesn't have anyone in the slaves cell except the slaves. Probably added by a mod. Post your mod list and someone may be able to tell you where he came from. :shakehead:

dragynlord thanks for the reply,but i do not have any mods (do not know how to use/set them up).i'm presuming that it must be a random character enemy that the game decided to put in for me to fight.

The game doesn't put in random enemies for bandit dungeons. I think the guy your facing is the one that is suppose to be next to that small body of water at the bottom of the hill, but I'm not sure why he would be in the slave pen. I didn't think he ever wandered up there.

Actually that door is suppose to be locked, and I don't think NPCs can open locked doors, so......I have no idea how this happened to you.

Did you get his name or something? Thought I suppose you would not be on him then...

Man, I should reinstall Morrowind...

Just COCed there... Can confirm the three bandits, but no enemy inside the slave pen.

Try using the console and doing "reset actors" that might work...?
