Altering an animation for a mount

First I am ignorant as far as animations go.

But what I want to do is take the chair animation which plays when a NPC (or player) sits (and rises) upon activating the chair, and convert that to a mount animation for a modified "horse" so I can script this modified "horse" to movie around carrying the player with it.

Trying to replace the mount and dismount animations with the "sit" and "rise" animations for chairs doesn't work properly. For one thing the character is 180 degrees off in relation to the mount. And for another thing, once the character sits, it assumes the rider position of the normal horse mount.

I really don't know how to edit the idle animation for the mount properly to keep the character from assuming this position.

I do have the OMPAW mount animation tool.
I also have Blender. And I have access to the newest version (2012) of 3DS Max but I can't get the import/export plugins for .nif files to work in it. And I can't afford to buy a different version of 3DS Max.
Of course I have the CS and NifSkope.

I know that the user called SaidenStorm has made such a chair type mount because I read a post on here that mentioned it. If this user is still frequenting this site, I'm sure he would know exactly how to solve my problem.
